About the Role
Our client is a VIC state government organisation based in the Melbourne CBD. They are currently seeking a Payroll SME - Workday System Implementation to join their team on a 6 month temp contract with possible for extension.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Strong background in Payroll processing and systems implementation
- Workday System implementation experience
- ADP Payforce system experience
- Previous Payroll project experience
Key responsibilities include:
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the lead Payroll authority in project forums and design authorities to ensure the HCM and Time & Attendance implementation into Workday meets all business and legislative requirements.
Process Design & Modernisation: Translate current-state payroll workflows into modernized future-state processes, providing expert input on configuration and solution architecture.
System Configuration & Management: Deliver hands-on expertise in ADP Payforce (Current system) and HCM tools, managing configuration changes and data production to support implementation into the Workday system.
Compliance & Award Interpretation: Interpret EBAs, Awards, and legislation to configure pay rules and time capture accurately, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Integration & Validation: Manage the data flow between HCM, WFM, and Payroll systems, validating end-to-end scenarios to ensure accurate, timely, and auditable processing.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR, IT, and vendors to communicate payroll impacts and lead change management efforts for new time-capture processes.
Testing & Knowledge Transfer: Define and execute UAT/SIT scenarios and parallel runs while developing the documentation and training materials required for a smooth BAU handover.
About You
You will be an experienced Payroll Systems Implementation professional with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate for this position will have:
- Strong background in Payroll processing and systems implementation
- Workday System implementation experience
- ADP Payforce system experience
- Previous Payroll project experience
